How Can I Prevent My Voip Phone To Be Bugged?

  1. Not likely it is bugged. The phone it’s self you can look at and see if it has a bug (roaches??) on it, under it or in it. The service is pretty much “bug proof” unless you are on a wireless router. If so, then ANYONE with the equipment and the motivation, can LEGALLY listen in. They can not, however, repeat any portion of the conversation. There are laws regarding listening to cordless conversations and what you can do with the information, but the “air ways” are still free. There are also encryption methods that can be used to get better security on Voip services.

  2. There is no way you can prevent your phone from being “bugged”. If someone wants to tap your phone, they can do it. If they don’t have a court warrant, then the legality is questionable. This doesn’t prevent it. Why are you so sure your phone is bugged?
