If I Am Doing A Low Carb Diet, Will Having A Coffee In The Mornings With Carbs In It Undo The Whole Diet?

I know this diet works if you stick to it, but I heard that if you are on this diet and you get off track it stops working. At my job we have starbucks every morning and I don’t wanna give that up. If that is the only thing I have all day that has carbs in it, will the diet be pointless?

  1. Although a low carb diet hints that caffeine could cause your weight loss to stop, you can try limiting your consumption to 1/2 cup and use the carb free sweeteners or a minimal amount of heavy cream…
    Check your weight after a week to see if you are still losing and adjust your coffee intake accordingly…

  2. If you do the true Atkins then no you can’t. However, you can try the sugar free versions. A little heavy cream is allowed, but no sugar! Some people still get blood reactions from the artificial sweeteners as well and don’t loose weight, but that’s person to person. Technically for the first two weeks of the Atkins your not supposed to have caffeine because it raises insulin in the blood as well (cuts off fat burning)
