NOTHING fried.
Boneless, skinless chicken, raw and cooked vegetables, with herbs and spices, NO butter.
Avoid milk products, take calcium and Vitamin D to supplement your body’s requirements.
Fruit is good when you need a sugar fix, also it keeps you regular.
Whole grains, i.e. sprouted grain bread, brown rice, barley in soups, all this will get your lipids back to normal. Cheerios are wonderful!!
I assume you already are under the care of a physician, and he/she should have you on medication such as lipitor or similar.
Good luck, I have, with medication and diet brought my cholesterol level down from 286 to 142.

Which lipids are you talking about?
The most important number is to watch out for Triglycerides. The ratio of total cholesterol to triglycerides is the most important number.
You want triglycerides to be as low as possible (below 100 is okay). You can achieve this through reduction of carbohydrates.
Also, eat fatty fish or take Omega 3 supplements. Eat good fats, like Olive oil, butter, coconut oil, etc. Stay away from the hydrogenated fats and corn oils. Also, stay awat from Hugh-fructose corn syrup. That will raise your triglycerides and cause fatty liver.
Remember, eating fat doesn’t make you fat and eating cholesterol doesn’t give you high cholesterol.
Please read the book I’ve mentioned below. I’m a diabetic who has significantly lowered my blood sugar level and lipids through diet change alone.
