However, you can pick up an AT&amp;T prepaid sim card for it and for about $20 a month you can get unlimited internet without having a contract as long as you have an unlocked GSM phone.</description>

		<description>yes it will work without a service but you will not be able to use the internet or GPS, beacuse gps downloads maps off the net instantaniously, they cannot be stored on the device itself</description>

		<description>Well, cellphones/smartphones typically work if it has a carrier. If there is not a carrier for it, then it won&#039;t be usable. You can still turn on the phone, but it will just not become usable.</description>
